OWH: Father's Day 2011 Neck Tie Tutorial Challenge

Yesterday I visited the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Challenge.  It turns out that they are in dire need of Father's Day cards for our troops to send home to their dads.  A quick and easy tutorial was provided on how to make a neck tie and dress shirt card for dad and the call to action was for everyone to please make five units and to send the cards to a local shipper right away...the overseas shipping deadline is/was rapidly approaching.  So, early last night my two youngest children wanted to know what I was working on and I got to show them how to make origami neck ties.  It was time well spent with my children.  This post contains the first finished card with a textured cardstock "shirt."

May 15, 2011 Update:  A total of 20 cards have been completed...a little behind my desired schedule...but done nonetheless.  Adhesive pearls were placed on each of the lapels, and the idea for that came from the first person to submit her cards to this OWH challenge.  Her name is Jen and her blog is called, "The Sparkle Within."  I've included a link to her neck-tie cards, too.  Please be sure to visit the links below:
